Mr. McGuinty – please leave our pensions, for most of us it is all we have. We have needed every penny just to live and support of families. If you need to look at obtaining money maybe look at reducing some of the MP’s MPP’s pensions. For the amount of time they work their pensions seem very high in relationship to the working class.

“KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY MONEY” I am nearing retirement and I’m worried that my pension won’t be there for me. I’ve earned this and have paid for it, so I should have a say in who monitors the investment of this money, and I do not what the government “McGinty and his band of thieves” stealing my retirement livelyhood, it’s there for a reason, it is my paycheck upon my retirement, so BACK OF LIBERALS.

  3. John McLaren says:

I remember when the membership finally gained join control of the OP TRUST. The government for years had treated our OPt Trust plan as a black hole and they ( the Employer) had an Unfunded liability for years because they did not contribute properly to the pension plan, Finally, through successive governments that unfunded amount was paid off; as fortunately under joint control, the pension plan did well.

Since 2008 there was been a levy paid by workers to fund any shortfall in the OPT plan. My pension contributions over the last 20 years have gone from $2400 to roughly $5000 a year. To Dalton and friends – hands off my pension plan – the membership int the OPT Trust has done due diligence to ensure that it is properly funded and viable.

To merge my plan with others that are not as viable or under funded is not only draconian its patently against the charter of rights and freedoms as far as I’m concerned.

This is a government that robs from the poor and gives to the rich. The plague of the nation is greed. We live in a time where bleeding the poor, to save the rich has become commonplace in society and government once again. We’ve seen it in neighboring nations and now the virus has become airborne in ours. The government solution to the aging nation is to force its seniors to work longer than ever before, and to put off retirement indefinitely, or completely removing that possibility altogether. We need to fight. Resistance is fertile. Hands off of our Pensions!!

  5. Kim Marshall says:

Please leave my HOOPP pension alone it’s doing very well and I worked hard over the years and have contributed many dollars to this pension and I should have input to what investments take place as I do now through my union OPSEU. The government’s record of running things is horrible and I’m very sacred that I’ll lose my great pension if the government takes control. This is against the charter of rights and is bording on a dictator type of government.

  6. IMELDA BLAS says:

I am working for so many years and spend my almost whole life serving my government and I am not letting your!! Mr. McGuinty to ruin my pension into something that you don’t have any proof that it will worked out and not run out. This is my pension and I deserve to have it when my time come . LEAVE MY PENSION ALONE!!!!!!!!!
